Instead of a "lesser" site in Barolo (as many producers have) Azelia has the magnificently well sited 2. 1 hectare, south facing, 600masl Bricco dell'Oriolo that holds special value for winemaker Luigi Scavino. His mother's family originally owned this splendid vineyard which sits in front of the small church of the Madonna dell'Oriolo. Bright and intense red fruits with a subtle
